To the Members and Participants of the Massachusetts Bay Harbor Safety Committee:

It is my great pleasure to invite you to register for the 2026 National Harbor Safety Conference, to be held at the Bell Harbor International Convention Center in Seattle, WA 24-25 March 2026. Over the last several months, and with input from local Harbor Safety Committees (HSCs) nationwide, the conference planning committee has developed a robust, two-day agenda covering a variety of topics we are confident will be of interest.

The National Harbor Safety Conference is a biennial event designed for maritime professionals to showcase best practices from port communities nationwide and facilitate networking to enable ongoing information sharing. This multi-day event enables ~300 participants from all parts of the nation to come together to discuss current issues, share lessons learned from case studies of real-world incidents, highlight solutions, foster dialogue with government agencies, and form partnerships. This conference features participation by senior leaders from key maritime agencies and organizations to focus on timely, impactful, high-interest marine safety topics.

The conference appeals to maritime stakeholders who are interested in coordinating to addressing marine safety issues, and as such a significant portion of attendees typically represent or participate in their local HSC. Among federal participants, the conference typically draws significant presence from the U.S. Coast Guard, as well as personnel from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Maritime Administration, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
